Beers & Planers :) :/

When my friend started showing me planer reviews online, my first question was, "wtf is that, Bro?!"  Unfortunately, he took the liberty of showing me a few reviews and pictures and the purpose of a planer.  It's exactly what it is derived from... planer.

The joy.

If that's not bad enough, his dad came home and forced us to go into the garage and join him in some projects.  He wants us to build a small, simple coffee table.  I mean, I suppose it is sort of important but I'd rather be doing this:

I want to feel that manly.  I guess that's what the project is supposed to do.

Other than that, I am thinking of taking a Java programming class at the community college ten minutes away.  I am dreading the paperwork but community colleges usually have an open door policy.  Guess I have a different mindset than I did a year ago and I think I'm interested in programming... applications, maybe.  It can also be boring but I love debugging so I think I can do something with this.

I think mom's calling for din-din.  Update in a bit.

Can't... Even... LOL!

I laughed at that way too hard!  I'm so sick of the political scene here but thank goodness I don't live in D.C.  I'd hate it there... I've visited and don't care for the scene there.

Anyways... so, I've been reviewing a thank you card template for a girl who did me a favor.  In all seriousness, the situation is a bit tricky since I not only like her but she's in my group of friends, so I am cautious about confessing my feelings to her.  My best bud thinks I'm being a wimp but he also realizes how tricky it could get...

Whatever.  I want to go bowling and stuff my face with some pizza & beer <3  Maybe I'll hit up friends on Twitter & Facebook and see which duffers wanna join me ;)

PS. Before I go: I highly recommend you check out Once Upon a Time on Netflix.  I remember it got a lot of hype years ago and back then, just couldn't get into it.  Finally! A month ago I did and the first two seasons are really good.  The third one is a bit... different, so I'll see how that goes..... but definitely worth your time.  I need to check out Hulu as well.

Is This A Good Investment... Or Nah?

I love being in the outdoors.  I love being active.  I love having bonfires at night after spending the whole day surfing at the beach with my friends.  Love that taste of the salt water, salt in the air, salt in the hair... the roughness of the skin afterwards.

Everyone seems to GLOW!

I used to have a canoe that I sold about.. say, two years ago?  Maybe three.  I have fond memories of it, of spending time with my dad and sister by the water.  We'd painstakingly pack our picnics Friday night and head out early as we could on Saturday morning.  It would be so much fun.  Sometimes, we'd barbecue.

I've been looking up inflatable kayak reviews and I am pretty torn about what to get.  Should I save money and experiment with something like the Sea Rebel or go all out with the AHTK 2 one, for two people, since the intent is to spend time and do activities with my family?!

The advantage of the Airhead Montana is that it'd be pretty roomy even if I took it out by myself.  And with two people, it should be great.  I think I'll have to work a couple of Overtime shifts and all should be good.

Look at this sweet baby though, lol... (the yellow one, I meant).

I think I'm going out for a hike tomorrow.  My only concern is the heat and the amount of rattle snakes that come out... ;(  I've seen some thick freakin' ones that put the fear of God in me.  Maybe I'll call a buddy or two to join me?

Ah, what the hell.  Spend some time in nature.  It always seems to ground me.  Even if I'm alone.  Especially then... I feel like a bad ass, lol.
